Granite 4.2 LLMs: How They're Built

IBM released the Granite 4.2 family of reasoning LLMs in 3B, 8B, and 30B parameter sizes. The models are pre-trained on 15T tokens and support chain-of-thought reasoning, native tool calling, and agentic behaviors. They are available under the Apache 2.0 license with documentation for local inference and integration.
