Lakebase Search: State-of-the-art full text and vector search for Postgres

Databricks launched two new Postgres extensions, lakebase_vector and lakebase_text, for scalable vector and full-text search. The company reports the vector extension achieves double the throughput of competitors on a 100M benchmark. These tools are now generally available on AWS and Azure, aiming to replace separate search engines for AI workloads.
