MetaRoCE: A New RDMA Transport Built for AI-Scale Ethernet

Meta releases the MetaRoCE specification, reference software implementation, and compliance test suite via the Open Compute Project. This new RDMA transport protocol targets AI-scale Ethernet clusters, moving intelligence to endpoints for native out-of-order delivery. The release enables developers to adopt a clean-sheet protocol designed for high throughput and low tail latency in distributed training and inference workloads.
