JetBrains shipped Rider 2026.2.3, adding AI‑driven performance analysis to the Monitoring tool window on Windows. The new “Analyze with AI” action lets the integrated agent examine dotTrace data, follow hot paths and surface bottlenecks directly in the chat pane. The same build also resolves a problem introduced in Rider 2026.2.2 where the AI Agent Setup widget could fail to open on Windows when display scaling was below 175%. Embedding an AI assistant in the performance workflow reduces the need to switch between profiling tools and manual code inspection, potentially accelerating debugging cycles. By leveraging the dottrace‑analyze skill, developers receive actionable insights that map runtime hotspots to specific code locations, improving productivity for teams that already own dotUltimate or the All Products Pack. The long‑term accuracy of the AI’s bottleneck diagnoses remains unverified, and JetBrains has not published quantitative data on speed gains. It is also unclear whether the feature will be extended to platforms other than Windows or to users without the AI Assistant plugin.
