Spanner Omni, now GA: A distributed, multi-model database that you can deploy anywhere

Google Cloud has released the general availability of Spanner Omni, the self-hosted, containerized version of its distributed SQL database. This release enables developers to run consistent, ACID-compliant relational workloads across on-premises servers, Kubernetes, private datacenters, or alternative cloud providers, bypassing the previous requirement to use Google Cloud infrastructure.
